Migrant Wives in Distress Report
Migrant wives are more vulnerable than Singaporean women to family violence, and face disadvantages in divorce, as they lack the independent right to reside in Singapore. These were the findings of the Association of Women for Action & Research (AWARE)’s report in June 2020, designed by Studio Giraffe.

OVERVIEW
SCOPE
Key visual creation (graphics, colour palette and typography)
Selection and treatment of imagery
Report layout
OBJECTIVES
Convey the research findings and recommendations in a clear, readable manner.
Create a visual style through the report that can be used for future communications on the same topic.
SOLUTION
To convey the serious tone of the report, a dark green was chosen as the primary colour, supplemented with additional green tones to highlight key information and ensure readability.
Imagery depicting women, children and the Singaporean residential landscape were selected and given a duotone treatment to sync with the report theme.
A simple graphic icon style was combined with bold typography to break up the body text and create visual interest.
